Hi all,
My little foal, born here in France, is the son of a chestnut flaxen Comtois stallion (with marbled legs) and a pure black Merens mare. Merens as a breed never have any white but have a reddish tinge to their black coats in winter.
His father
the foal
The foal is a very dark liver chestnut with the same marbled legs as his father. His mane and tail started out cream like a palomino but are now turning silvery grey. The whole of his mane is turning grey but his tail has just turned grey in a triangle at the top.
Here you can see his mane turning grey:
What colour do you think he would be classified as? Thanks for your help Lesley
