Advertised my buckskin colt yesterday on the internet, and phone rang within hours to ask if he was a silver buckskin? Having never heard of a silver buckskin in quarter horses, thought I'd better use Google to do some research, so here I am!

He is by an imported US stallion - Potassium, and out of mare Justa Super Model, who has lots of grey, buckskin and pally on her bottom side.

Can't load pics here - he can be seen on my website myohmyquarterhorses.com.

My question is should I be getting him colour tested? He is for sale, but if he has a chance of being a silver buckskin, I'd like to advertise him as such.

any comments?
thanks for your help

What a strange question. Absolutely nothing about him looks silver buckskin to me. The dam definitely isn't silver based on what I saw and what you've said. I've delved into the sire's pedigree and can make no case for it. His pedigree is extremely well know and I definitely think we'd know if there was silver in there somewhere. You would likely know if the dam was.

I say nope. You can as it's only $25 just to be sure. But I really have no clue what made them think he could be. *shrugs*
